Special Events

Two major events are held every year that celebrate the arts and contribute to VAA (a non-profit organization).

VAA Art Auction

The Annual Art Auction has been central to island life since 1976. Scheduled for the third weekend of September, it has grown into a two-night event, with over 150 original works are offered for bid in both silent and live auctions. The Art Auction is VAA's single largest fundraiser.

Art Auction sponsors are John L. Scott Real Estate, Puget Sound Energy, Beth de Groen of John L. Scott Real Estate, and Thriftway.

Garden Tour

The Annual Garden Tour celebrates the art of gardening and provides an inspiring peek into some of the most creatively designed gardens in our community. Each stop on the tour also features garden art by several of Vashon's most accomplished artists.
